John MacGowan

Associate

John MacGowan is an Associate at Young Marr Mallis & Associates. Mr. MacGowan primarily focuses his practice on transactional and consumer bankruptcy matters, as well as criminal defense and civil litigation.  He has counseled established businesses regarding the sale and disposition of assets and has drafted a variety of transactional documents including membership interest and asset purchase agreements. John is also frequently retained to represent individual and [small business?] Debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.

During law school, Mr. MacGowan served as a term law clerk to the Honorable Vincent F. Papalia in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, where he performed extensive legal research and drafted a number of opinions in adversary proceedings and contested matters.

Mr. MacGowan is a Pennsylvania native and currently resides in Lower Merion Township. He was raised in Bucks County and graduated from New York University (B.A., Economics), and Brooklyn Law School.
